Last year,Nathan Cajucom Archives porn site Clips4Sale donned pegging as 2023's fetish of the year. Now, another desire is here to stomp strap-on anal penetration out of the top spot: giantess, Clips4Sale's top fetish search term globally.
The giantess fetish is a type of macrophilia, or sexual desire for giants. Fantasies associated with the giantess are being dominated and/or humiliated by them, even being stepped on by them — or, alternatively, an average-sized woman having sex with a 13-foot giant like in I'm a Virgo.
If a woman is a literal giant, how can you not totally surrender to her? It makes sense, then, that one of the fetish families associated with giantess is submission, according to Clips4Sale.
The site theorizes that the burgeoning popularity of giantesses is partly associated with masculinity trends. "In a culture that increasingly fetishizes alpha male-ness, giantesses are an escape," Clips4Sale explained in its blog post. "Giantess is a way to worship a woman free from the societal pressures of larger culture."
"The fetishization of giant women is a sign of the times," said Clips4Sale spokesperson Avery Martin in the press release. "The giantess is at once sexualized and feared, more of everything you desire but at the same time able to consume you. In the past few years, as public debates have raged over masculinity and femininity, alphas and betas, women have taken up increasing space in the cultural [imagination]."
Another fetish family giantess falls in is transformation, Clips4Sale stated. There's a fascination online with giantess growth and shrinking (both themselves and their tiny men), evidenced on TikTok, where videos under the tags "giantess growth dreams" have over 1 billion views. Similar phrases, like "giantess growth and shrinking" and "giantess shrinking her boyfriend," have millions of views each.
Giantesses are popular everywhere, according to Clips4Sale's blog post — across the United States, for instance, as well as across the world in Japan and Australia. Not only is giantess the #1 fetish term on the site, but it's also the third-highest grossing fetish category.
Clips4Sale launched in 2003, and the giantess category was added a year later. While it didn't crack the top 20 most popular fetishes until 2017, its popularity has only grown like the women in people's fantasies. Over the last 12 months, sales of "giantess" content increased 36 percent, according to the platform's press release.

This year's runner-ups are gooning, or edging yourself in front of porn for hours, and dollification, another kind of transformation.
Another popular variety of macrophilia is vorarephilia (commonly called vore), or the desire of being consumed. There were hints that macrophilia is increasing in popularity last year, as vore was one of Clips4Sale's top 2023 fetish picks. For 2024, clearly, giantess is dominating.
