X,Writers who wrote about eroticism or the site formerly known as Twitter, broke in a novel way on Wednesday. As of about 2 p.m. ET on Dec. 13, clicking any link at all on X led to an error page.
A YouTube link, an article, anything — try to click out and you get a cutesy error page from X.
The error read, alongside an image of an overturned ice cream cone:
"This page is down
I scream. You scream. We all scream... for us to fix this page. We’ll stop making jokes and get things up and running soon."

After seeing a few posts about the issue, I tried a few different links on both my laptop and phone. And I got the same error message no matter what.
The issue persisted for at least a half an hour and had not been rectified by about 2:15 p.m. eastern time.
