Spotify has become the biggest music streaming service in the world by letting you listen to any song,Watch Erotica Manila Episode 2 anywhere, any time. Now, it wants you to get in on the fun.
Spotify has acquired online music creation platform Soundtrap, which allows people to make and record songs from any device, using a variety of tools.
Spotify announced the acquisition in a blog post, and noted that the company will still operate as it has.

The Soundtrap service will continue to operate as usual," Spotify noted in its blog.
The price of the acquisition was not publicly announced. Soundtrap is based in Stockholm, Sweden, which also just so happens to be where Spotify is based.
Soundtrap is a subscription business. Its basic service is free, but then charges for additional tools and the ability to create more projects. The cloud-based software lets people make music with pre-recordings and also collaborate with other people online.
The move adds a bit of a new wrinkle to Spotify, which is working on developing other areas of revenue while eyeing its move into public markets. Spotify is yet to make a profit, but its finances have improved as its steadily added subscribers.
Subscribers alone, however, might not cut it. Spotify's business model still requires it to pay most of the money it receives to the holders of the rights of the music on its platform, primarily music labels. As such, the company has explored other avenues including video and podcasts.
Music creation is something else entirely. Spotify's experience thus far has primarily been a private affair for its users. The company's platform does not have a wide variety of social functions or much of a community, unlike Soundcloud, which developed a following among indie music creators for being a place to post new music and hear what their friends are doing.
Soundtrap represents a small move by Spotify to get into the music creation business, while also embracing a platform that could provide some of that community. Though fall smaller than Soundcloud, Soundtrap has music creation tools that Soundcloud doesn't.
