Have you heard of the "Internet"?Watch Vanguard Online
It's this totally new thing from Amazon, and if my suspicions are correct it's going to be big. It has the power to connect us all, and as long as everyone has access to an Android smartphone and feels like downloading the company's new mobile browser, we should be changing the world with this Internet app any day now.
SEE ALSO: Facebook isn't the only one with too much of your data. Just ask Google and Amazon. That's right: Amazon released a new mobile browser called Internet. Here's how it works: You download it, and then you can browse the web on your mobile device. Pretty revolutionary, right?
But wait, there's more. According to the Google Play store it "contains ads." Some other cool, groundbreaking features include private tabs, and the ability to "[stay] up to date with news, cricket, and entertainment from top sources right on the home page."
Like we said, it's going to be big.
Launched in March, Internet is only available for now in India according to TechCrunch. The app is 2.4 MB in size, and helpfully has the content rating "everyone." Which, phew, we were worried that the Internet might not be appropriate for children.
According to Google Play, Internet has been installed 100+ times. And the reviews are in! The Internet app is a hit!
"No one needs this browser," reads one such glowing review. "There is already Firefox if you want a 'heavy' browser. And if you want to go absolute lite, then you have Via browser and Fastest Mini Browser."
We can't wait to try Internet when and if it is made available outside of India. We hear the internet is pretty great, after all.
