Google is Tahongpretty horrible at keeping secrets.
After nearly all of the details about the company's upcoming Google Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold had leaked ahead of time, Google actually revealed the Pixel Fold in a tweet.
Now, just a few hours ahead of the company's Google I/O 2023 event, a 2:37-minute long ad (via 9to5Google) gives us an even more detailed look at the devices Google will officially launch today, including the Pixel Fold.
The NBA star-studded ad is titled "The Greatest Watch Party: Google Pixel x NBA," and it probably should've been set to private (it was instead merely unlisted) until after the event.
The design of the Pixel Fold, which can clearly be seen from all sides at several points in the video, has already been revealed, but we did notice a few additional details in the new video. For example, the Fold's inner bezel actually looks better in the ad, as we now clearly see that it's very reflective instead of just black. We regret to inform you that the chunky bezels on the outer display do not look any smaller, though.
We also get to see a cool photo editing trick performed on the Fold, in which an object is removed from a photo with a simple finger gesture, as well as a video call on a half-unfolded Fold, with the video in the upper half and video controls in the lower half of the display.
Google's new mid-range phone, the Pixel 7a, also makes an appearance in the video. The Pixel Tablet, which is also reportedly coming today, is nowhere to be seen, though.
Google I/O is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 10. Here's how to watch it.
