Nintendo's Universal theme park is progressing slowly but surely, and it looks like it's going to be amazing.
A fan of Universal Studios Japan tweeted out a handful of photos of a Super Mario-themed set piece from the Super Nintendo World theme park in Osaka Tueday, giving the world its first glimpse at what the upcoming Nintendo theme parks are going to look like, including part of a castle, some green pipes, and piranha plants.

The Nintendo-Universal theme parks, first revealed in November, is being created in partnership between Nintendo and Universal Parks and Resorts at three different locations: Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, and Universal Studios Japan.
Yesterday's photos came from Universal Studios Japan. It's unclear whether the Super Mario-themed set will actually be a part of the Super Nintendo World theme park there or if it will be used as part of a promotional event for the park, but it's exciting to see nonetheless.

On a less exciting but more important note, the fan shared a look at where Universal Studios Japan is breaking ground, potentially for the Nintendo-Universal theme park.

In a release, Nintendo and Universal said the parks will be opening separately over the next several years and will include multiple attractions, shops, and restaurants.
