As Hurricane Matthew barrels toward Florida and Perfume And Murder (2021) Hindi Short Filmother parts of the South Atlantic coast, threatening heavy damage and loss of life, many in the Caribbean continue to clean up the aftermath, particularly Haiti, which was hit hard by the monster storm.
SEE ALSO: Airbnb hosts offer homes for $0 as Hurricane Matthew approachesThe hurricane made landfall around daybreak on Tuesday morning, leaving wreckage and misery everywhere. Matthew smashed concrete walls and tore away rooftops, forcing thousands of Haitians to flee for their lives.
"The floodwater took all the food we have in the house. Now we are starving and don't have anything to cook," said farmer Antoine Louis, standing in brown water up to his thighs in the doorway of his deluged concrete shack.
In total, over 260 people have been reported killed by the storm in Haiti, with tolls across the Caribbean region topping 114 so far.
