Acer's insane Predator Thronos gaming chair,Anissa Kate the Widow XXX launched at last year's IFA, has a successor.
Called the Predator Thronos Air and launched ahead of IFA 2019, the new chair is actually a slightly simplified variant of the original, with a manual arm carrying the three screens instead of an electrified one.
While that's slightly less cool, the good news is that the price has gotten significantly lower: The Predator Thronos Air will cost $13,999 in the U.S., compared to the original Thronos' price of $20,000.
The Predator Thronos Air is still pretty impressive, though. It has a chair (d'oh), a modular desk, a foot rest, and a monitor arm that can carry three monitors. It can be adjusted to various angles, and it even has a massage function. And yeah, it glows blue.
SEE ALSO: IFA 2019: Get ready for one very unusual tech showThe Predator Thronos Air is not a computer and does not come with one, but it does have a platform for a PC behind the chair. And, if you feel like spending more money after buying the chair, you can add upgrades such as a seat stabilizer, a cup holder, a headset holder, a USB hub, and a camera (which can be positioned above the middle monitor, convenient for live streaming the action).
The Predator Thronos Air will become available in the last quarter of 2019 in the U.S. and Europe.
