SAVE $40: Amazon discounted the Google Nest Thermostat to just $89.99 during its October Prime Day event. That's a 31% discount988 Archives$40 down from its usual price of $129.99.
Big deals are a dime a dozen during Prime Day 2. That means you can also save big on one of the most useful additions for a smart home: a smart thermostat. These handy devices make managing your home's heating and cooling impossibly simple, and you don't have to spend a premium to get a quality thermostat right now.
As of Oct. 11, you can get the Google Nest Thermostat for just $89.99. That's a savings of 31% and $40 less than its MSRP of $129.99. Choose from four colors: Charcoal, Fog, Sand, and Snow. This model comes without the C-wire some homes require, though it's designed to work without one for most. If you need the C-wire, you'll need to grab the Google Nest Thermostat with C-Wire Adapter bundle separately. It's also discounted 25% right now, for a savings of $40.
This thermostat is compatible with a wide variety of HVAC systems, and while it's fairly simple to install and looks great on the wall (far better than those default modules most people have), its biggest draw is obviously the ability to learn your heating and cooling preferences. As you use it, it's essentially "trained" to get to know how you like your home to feel, whether that's perpetually on the cool side or warmer in the winter.
You can schedule and adjust your home temperature from anywhere thanks to the remote-controlled Nest app or use Google Assistant to issue voice commands when you can't be bothered to walk over for a manual change. Plus, there's a Savings Finder as part of the package that helps find more ways to save you money on energy, from cutting down on HVAC use to keeping in check with maintenance.
If you've been waiting for a good time to grab a smart thermostat, you can't go wrong with this one.
