Let me introduce you to Soda Pup,Bedside Sailors movie (1976) a very good dog who is delivering wine during these troubling times.
The handsome and, quite frankly, smart-as-hell boxer was highlighted in the Washington Postfor the good work he's doing in his community. Soda, an 11-year-old bundle of brindle goodness, is helping Stone House Urban Winery in Hagerstown, Maryland do curbside pick ups and just look at the adorable results.
Lori Yata, who co-owns the winery, told local paper theHerald-Mailthat she was a little nervous her good pup might not always be the best delivery boy as he carried bottles for pick up orders.
“I thought, ‘God, please don’t let a goose or something walk by or those wine bottles are gone,’” she told the paper.
But video evidence shows Soda doing amazing at his new gig. And it can't hurt business to have a cute dog bring out orders.
“Before this all happened, we had so many customers who came to see Soda. They’d grab a glass of wine, sit on the floor with him, some would take him outside. They love Soda Pup,” Yata told the Herald-Mail. “Being a small business, we are trying to keep ourselves afloat. So we decided to use a little bit of enticement to get people in.”
The winery last week posted an update "from Soda" that was frankly adorable and explained he wasn't getting overworked.
"Man, am I getting a lot of attention just for doing something I love, helping my mom and being around my friends," read the Facebook post. "I just want to be perfectly clear, I never carry more than two bottles of wine. I never make more than one trip per customer."
"Sometimes I don’t have wine in my sack at all I just to go out and meet people when they come to buy their wine," Soda added. "When I’m tired I lay on my BIG comfy bed and nap."
Me too, Soda. Me too.
